You can leave. You just have to jump through a lot of hoops, and not sign in for a certain amount of time. It does take some effort, and lots of discipline for those who have a heavy addiction. It can be done though. ???
It can be done, but it takes more than just discipline on the part of the person who wants to leave. The most thorough and people-friendly guide I’ve found so far is this one from Mashable: https://mashable.com/2014/07/02/how-delete-facebook/#T_la54mKSOqN Next, you’ll need to use something like Firefox’s new Facebook container https://blog.mozilla.org/firefox/facebook-container-extension/ which (I think) will also work with Chrome. This part is for handling the Facebook bits on other sites, from which Facebook collects (and therefore uses and shares), a metric ton of data on people, regardless of whether or not they have a Facebook account. If you’re using Internet Explorer or Edge, you’re screwed until microsoft comes up with something, which they will likely not port to IE. All of this is a lot of information to keep track of for technical people. The average person, (who is not technical), doesn’t have a chance.
Will do that. It actually took me a bit of combing through Google’s search results to find it, which means it would be harder for others to find. It wasn’t the first result and there are a dozen others with headlines that over-simplify the problem.
Lol so true.

You should share that one publicly so others can utilize that resource if necessary.
